Plumbing Job description: 

  APD Plumbing and Mechanical, Inc. is a family owned and operated full-service plumbing and mechanical company. We provide professional home and business services for Thurston County, Pierce County, Lewis County, Mason County, and Greater Grays Harbor counties. Plumber Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintenance and repair of water lines, sewer pipes, gas lines, troubleshooting malfunctions, Installation, Repair, or replacement of plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, tub/shower, faucets. Install, alter, and repair valves (ex. Shutoff, Gate, flow, globe, ball, pressure relief, thermostatic, check, double check, Vacuum and other such valves) Install, alter and repair of other plumbing systems and equipment (Ex Water Heater, Boilers,  Tankless Water Heater, hydronic heating, thermal, Geo thermal, sprinklers) Installation of complete new water mains, Water line replacement or relocation working with Copper, Cast iron, Wrought Iron, Plastic, or steel water lines. Locate and repair of underground leaks and surface leaks on water / sewer lines. Train and Mentor tomorrow’s generation of Plumbers.

Minimum Plumbing Qualifications and Experience: 

*Advanced knowledge of methods, materials, tools, safety practices, and equipment used in the plumbing trade.

*PL01 or PL02 Required or no less than 10,000 Logged hours with WA LNI, or equivalent from out-of-state. 

*Active Driver’s License with good driving record 

*Excellent communication skills.

PHYSICAL Plumber REQUIREMENTS:

*Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job

*Ability to work in tight spaces

*Ability to continually walk, stand, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, reach in all directions

*Must be able to work in all weather conditions

*Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas

* Must be able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day and climb multiple sets of stairs while carrying materials weighing between 40and 100 pounds
